Charr wants to fight Haye with the winner getting Vitali

HayeCharrBy Sean McDaniel: #8 WBC heavyweight contender Manuel Charr (22-1, 12 KO’s) got his first taste of the big time in fighting WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko last September in Moscow, Russia. Unfortunately for Charr, he was stopped in four rounds. However, he wants to get back in the ring with Vitali before the big 6’7” Ukrainian retires and he figures the quickest way to get there is to face former WBA World heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) in 2013.

Charr figures that the two of them can fight with the winner getting a title shot against Vitali. Haye already badly wants a fight with Vitali, but he’s been ignored despite his constant calling him out in the media.

Manuel Charr to face Derek Chisora in March in Germany

haye34By Scott Gilfoid: German news is reporting that #8 WBC heavyweight contender Manuel Charr (22-1, 12 KO’s) will be facing the UK’s Dereck Chisora (15-4, 9 KO’s) in a bout that will take place in March next year sometime in Germany. There still isn’t a specific date or venue for the fight yet, but we’ll learn more in the coming weeks.

It’s an intriguing fight because Chisora and Charr are seriously made for each other. Both guys have good power and both like to go toe-to-toe in fighting. Chisora is obviously having major problems with his career right now after having lost four out of his last five fights.

Charr: My victory over Vitali was robbed from me, I can’t sleep

Image: Charr: My victory over Vitali was robbed from me, I can't sleepBy Eric Thomas: #7 WBC Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KO’s) feels his chance at winning a world title was taken away from him last Saturday when the German doctor abruptly halted his fight against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) in the 4th round after the 27-year-old Charr sustained a bad cut over his right eye by a punch from Vitali.

Charr’s management are currently protesting the stoppage loss, pointing out that the doctor treated Charr in Vitali’s red corner instead of Charr’s corner, according to sbs.com.au.

Vitali not interested in giving Charr a rematch

Image: Vitali not interested in giving Charr a rematchBy Sean McDaniel: Heavyweight title challenger Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KO’s) is reportedly interested in trying to get a rematch against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) after losing to him by a 4th round cut stoppage last Saturday night in Moscow, Russia. Charr was hit with a left hand from Vitali in the 3rd, causing a deep cut to open above Charr’s right eye. The fight ended up getting stopped almost immediately.

This led to an angry Charr marching around the ring, shoving people and making a lot of noise. He obviously felt that the fight should have been allowed to continue until his trainer had gotten the chance to work on the cut to see if he could stop the bleeding in between rounds.

Haye takes stab at Vitali’s win over Charr

Image: Haye takes stab at Vitali's win over CharrBy William Mackay: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye doubts that last night’s fight between WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and Manuel Charr in Moscow, Russia would have been stopped in the 4th round had the 41-year-old Vitali been the one who was badly cut over his right eyelid rather than Charr.

The fight was halted in the 4th round after the ringside doctor examined Charr’s cut over his right eye and concluded that the fight needed to be stopped.

Haye said on his twitter “I feel for Charr, as if roles were reversed, do you think K2’s regular German Doctor would have stopped Vitali Klitschko?…I think people know why I insisted on having a British Dr. be the one who looks at my cuts during the Wlad fight!. Donttrustklitdoc.”

Charr tried to wait Vitali out and got stopped for his efforts

Image: Charr tried to wait Vitali out and got stopped for his effortsBy Jason Kim: In trying to analyze what was going through previously unbeaten Manuel Charr’s head tonight in his 4th round TKO loss to WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) in Moscow, Russia, the best I can come up with is that the 27-year-old Charr thought he could wait Vitali out until the later rounds to finally start bringing it on when Vitali tired.

Charr was playing possum in the same that Ross Puritty did with Vitali’s younger brother Wladimir Klitschko when Puritty held back until the 10th round against Wladimir in their fight in 1998 and was able to hurt and stop an exhausted Wladimir in the 11th.
