The Floyd Mayweather Motto: No Edge, No Fight

Image: The Floyd Mayweather Motto: No Edge, No FightBy Gregory Shaw: Like the large majority of boxing fans I blame Floyd Mayweather for killing the fight that everyone wants. The most cited reason from fans, and something that has followed Mayweather for years, is that Mayweather picks and chooses his opponents carefully as to not risk losing his “O”. Let’s take a look at Money’s last 5 fights and see if an edge existed and if he would have that edge against Pac-Man.

Image: Bradley - "What about me?" [for a fight with Pacquiao or Mayweather]By James Harold: Now that the mega-bout between five-time wold champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and seven-division champ Manny Pacquiao appears to be in pieces, World Boxing Organization light welterweight star Timothy Bradley has something to ask the two best fighters in the world, “The real question is what about Tim Bradley.” The 26-year-old World Champion, who is 25-0 with 11 knockouts is arguably the best light welterweight in the world bar the Filipino sensation Pacquiao.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao: It’s Still Not Over

Image: Mayweather vs Pacquiao: It's Still Not OverBy Frank Car: Contrary to news circulating that the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao bout is off once again. I still believe it’s not over. “It’s off” is something we have heard, what, three or four times now? Although my optimism is somewhat fading, there is still time for what a source called a “business deadline” for the Mega-Fight to be made.

There is not that much to say, other than we need to wait for more official news to surface, from both camps. It has been Pacquiao’s camp to once again say it’s off. That is no surprise seemingly how it has been Pacquiao’s camp to be quick to say it’s off numerous times in the past.

However, I wonder what Pacquiao would have done had he fought a prime Kostya Tszyu and Julian Jackson (55-6, 49 KOs) in a hypothetical match up.

Image: Mayweather almost ends up in a brawl with rapper Rick Ross – NewsBy Peter Wells: Over the weekend unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. has reportedly clashed with rapper Rick Ross at Vanity night club in a show hosted by P.Diddy. I am a big hip-hop fan but have never listened to much Rick Ross, but this isn’t the first time the two have been in a near brawl. A few years ago after rapper and Floyd’s friend 50 Cent almost kicked off a fight with Rick Ross and this weekend the two camps were close to fighting again.

For Mayweather at this time he wouldn’t want to be caught doing anything like fighting outside the gym, but wasn’t to bothered about knowing what was at stake saying, “If you start trouble, I gotta finish it”.
