Image: Deontay Wilder: Wladimir told me I'm the fastest heavyweight he's ever been withBy Scott Gilfoid: Looks like the talented heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) is really making a name for himself in his camp with IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko because Wladimir has been smothering the young 26-year-old Wilder with compliments after sparring with him a number of times.

Deontay said this on his twitter today about Wladimir: “The champ@Klitschko [Wladimir] reminded me why I’m the future star again today after sparring. I appreciate the great words. Deontay Wilder vs. Kelvin Price on December 15th

Image: Deontay Wilder vs. Kelvin Price on December 15th(Photo courtesy of Deontay Wilder twitter) By Scott Gilfoid: 6’7″ unbeaten American heavyweight knockout artist Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) will be facing the equally huge 6’7″ Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KO’s) on December 15th on the undercard of the Amir Khan vs. Carlos Molina fight on Showtime Boxing at the Sports Arena, in Los Angeles, California. Price, 37, was supposed to have fought Wilder during the summer but unfortunately Price suffered a rib injury and couldn’t take the fight.

Price is a very good fighter with wins over the likes of Tor Hamer and Julius Long. He’s got fast hands, good power and excellent boxing skills to go along with his huge size. Price is definitely someone that should be ranked in the top 15 if he were a busier fighter. Unfortunately, he’s only fought 13 times in his five year pro career and that’s slowed his progression down.

Deontay Wilder: Wladimir will beat Wach by KO

Image: Deontay Wilder: Wladimir will beat Wach by KOBy Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) is picking IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) to defeat Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) by a knockout next month in their big title fight at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

Speaking with Ringpolkska, Wilder said “I don’t think he’s [Wladimir] underestimating him [Wach], but I think [he’ll win] by knockout.”

The reason why the talented Wilder can expertly pick a winner for this fight is because he’s currently one of Wladimir’s top sparring partners in his training camp to help get Wladimir ready for Wach, and he knows just how good Wladimir is after having sparred with him a number of times already.

Warren rates Chisora and Haye higher than Deontay Wilder and Seth Mitchell

Image: Warren rates Chisora and Haye higher than Deontay Wilder and Seth MitchellBy Marcus Stewart: Legendary British boxing promoter Frank Warren said to The Sun newspaper about how David Haye and Dereck Chisora are better boxers than Deontay Wilder and Seth Mitchell. Warren shows his intelligence in a quite obvious fashion because he is one hundred per cent right.

Certain people have been hyping up Deontay Wilder as the next big American heavyweight. Despite his record though he’s proved nothing as he’s failed to beat anyone in the top one hundred. I find it quite disgusting that he decided to call out Tyson Fury when Fury is rated as a top 10 heavyweight and Wilder has beaten no one legitimate for him to be considered as a prospect let alone a contender. Likewise with Seth Mitchell who isn’t ranked highly by any of the world governing bodies and relies on his power thereby showing how he’s one dimensional.

Warren said to thesun.co.uk “In terms of experience and ability, both are light years ahead of leading US charlatans like Seth Mitchell (25-0, 19 KO’s) and Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s), who would both struggle to win a British title right now.”

Klitschko sparring with Wilder and McCline to get ready for Wach

Image: Klitschko sparring with Wilder and McCline to get ready for WachBy Jason Kim: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) is well stocked with huge heavyweight sparring partners to get ready for his November 10th title defense against undefeated 6’7 1/2″ contender Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) at the O2 World Arena, Altona, in Hamburg, Germany. Klitschko’s sparring partners are as follows: 6’7″ Deontay Wilder, 6’6″ Jameel McCline, 6’8″ Richard Towers, 6’6″ Vladimir Tereszkin, 6’6″ Nicolai Firth and 6’9″ Yevgeny Orlov.

Those guys should get the 6’6″ Wladimir ready for the size of Wach, and definitely the power. Wilder is easily a bigger puncher than Wach, but he’s a really different fighter. That part might be hard to duplicate because Wach is kind of slow and deliberate with his punching style. I don’t know that any of the sparring partners that Wladimir has in this camp is anything like Wach. They’ll be able to prepare Wladimir for Wach’s size but not his unusual fighting style. For that, Wladimir will have to figure it out as he goes and try his best to avoid running into any of Wach’s big right hand shots.

The good news is that if the card stays this way, the 26-year-old Wilder will find himself on television in this Showtime televised fight in the United States. That would be a huge plus for the 6’7″ Wilder, because he’s got the talent to be one of the best heavyweights on the planet within a year and he needs to be seen by boxing fans.
