Image: Deontay Wilder- Kelvin Price mix it up on Saturday in the battle of the super heavyweightsBy Scott Gilfoid: Two huge 6’7” talented heavyweights Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) and Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KO’s) will do battle on Saturday night on Showtime at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. This is one of those rare heavyweight match-ups where not only are both heavyweights huge, but also very talented with loads of boxing skills. The eyes of fans are going to be concentrating mostly on the 27-year-old Wilder, the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist from the United States.

Wilder’s the real talent here. Wilder has one-punch knockout power in both hands, and he’s already been predicted to go all the way to a heavyweight title by 2013 by none other than the late great trainer Emanuel Steward.

Will we ever see what Deontay Wilder is made of?

Image: Will we ever see what Deontay Wilder is made of?By Adam Mccoy: Deontay Wilder “The Bronze Bomber” Undefeated in 25 bouts all coming by way of knockout. That is one hell of a record it goes without saying. Also hence the nickname Wilder won bronze at the Beijing Olympics so with a spectacular record an Olympic medal, Why has Wilder still not got the respect or even the publicity?

Ill tell you just that, Wilder has been carefully spoon-fed opponents since his debut on 15th November 2008 and for what reason? Because Wilder is walking proof that your boxing record means nothing what so ever.

Wilder vs. Price: Deontay gets chance to show off his improvement from camp with Wladimir

Image: Wilder vs. Price: Deontay gets chance to show off his improvement from camp with WladimirBy Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) will be fighting for the first time on December 15th after helping out IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko get ready for his recent fight against Marisuz Wach. Wilder came over to help Wladimir and was just one of many sparring partners he had in the camp.

Wilder emerged as the top guy and he really helped out Wladimir in this camp. But it wasn’t just Wilder helping Wladimir. Wilder learned a great deal from sparring with the 6’6″ Wladimir for three weeks day after day. With the camp behind him, Wilder will now be able to show off what he learned for his Showtime televised fight against unbeaten 6’7″ Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KO’s) on December 15th at the LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Deontay Wilder looking to shine against Kelvin Price on December 15th

Image: Deontay Wilder looking to shine against Kelvin Price on December 15thBy Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) will be looking to show why he’s considered by many to be the top heavyweight prospect in boxing on December 15th in his fight against Kelvin “The Price is Right” Price (13-0, 6 KO’s).

The timing of this fight is perfect for the 6’7″ knockout artist Wilder, because it’s coming just two weeks after the fights of the tall British gargantuan heavyweights Tyson Fury and David Price, so this will give fans a great look at the difference in talent between Wilder and those two heavyweights.

Deontay Wilder would have been a problem for David Price if he had been in with him tonight

Image: Deontay Wilder would have been a problem for David Price if he had been in with him tonightBy Scott Gilfoid: After watching how stiff and robotic British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (15-0, 13 KO’s) looked in defeating 45-year-old Matt Skelton (28-7, 23 KO’s) tonight in Liverpool, England, I firmly believe that unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) would have destroyed Price in one or two rounds. Price showed that he can be hit and all it takes is one big shot from Wilder and he’d likely have Price out of there almost immediately.

Price’s outside game wouldn’t work against the 6’7″ Wilder because Price is too slow and stiff. He doesn’t have the quickness that Wilder has. Wilder would be able to bomb Price nearly at will from the outside he’s so much faster with his left hook and right hand compared to him. It would be like target practice for Wilder with him landing his big power shots on the bulls-eye of Price head.

Will Deontay Wilder impress against Kelvin Price?

Image: Will Deontay Wilder impress against Kelvin Price?By Steven Ocallaghan: I might not be the best person to pass comment on American heavyweight Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) as have only seen a handful of his fights but I do know enough about boxing to comment on a fighters skills and punching ability.

Wilder at 6’7″ is the typical size now of the super heavyweight division. Hes lean and quick with decent punching power, after all 25 KOs in 25 fights does elude to that. That is where the compliments have to stop. While am no huge fan of Tyson Fury, he has faced decent opposition and takes on another former world title challenger in Kevin Johnson. Fury has also faced and defeated tough Londoner Derrick Chisora who gave a good account of himself against Vitali Klitchko.

De La Hoya sees Wilder as being a future world heavyweight champion, and he sees him realizing that potential in the near future.

De La Hoya said on his twitter “Checkout the future heavyweight U.S champion Bronzebomber [Deontay Wilder]. 6’7″, solid mad skills, 25-0, 25 KO’s.”

Kelvin Price a very tough opponent for Deontay Wilder

By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) is taking on a really good fighter in unbeaten 6’7″ Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KO’s) on December 15th at the Sports Arena, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Price reminds me a lot of a heavyweight version of Roy Jones Jr. with his fighting style. He’s got really fast hands, a nice left hook, and great jab.
