Wilder fired up by his critics stating the truth

wilder322By Dominic Sauboorah: Heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) has fired back at his critics on twitter stating how his haters haven’t nearly achieved half of what he has. I’m sorry is he serious? Wilder won the WBC Americas continental heavyweight title. Whoa step back a second. Wilder can hit back at his critics but it’s not good enough just to talk, he has to shut his critics up in the ring.

He’s angered by people stating how he’s fought “bums” and “nobodies.” But these criticisms are constructive, because if he’s so content in fighting these 4th tier fighters then why is he calling out Tyson Fury, a guy who’s ranked in the top 10 by ring magazine and who has beaten much better opposition than him.

Deontay Wilder fires back at his critics

wilder23By Scott Gilfoid: Tired of the constant bellyaching from fans that will likely never accomplish as much as him, the unbeaten heavyweight talent Deontay Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) unleashed the dogs of war briefly in sending a message to his critics today on twitter.

Wilder said “Why do people that will never do or accomplish half the stuff you’ve [I’ve] done in a lifetime have the biggest mouths?”

Yes, it’s very true, Mr. Wilder. There’s so much jealousy coming from some of these fans that they don’t how to properly process their hateful emotions and so they open their yaps to lash out. Of course it doesn’t change anything because Wilder keeps having great success with his promising career.

Deontay Wilder isn’t even rated in the top 100 heavyweights

wilder54By Dominic Sauboorah: Heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder has won all of his fights by way of knockout and has yet to go past the 4th round in any of his fights. Impressive? Far from that.

Wilder has fought nothing but low tier opposition since turning professional and the guy’s not getting any younger. Golden Boy are hyping him up to be the next great thing, a bit ironic considering that they’re still yet to step him up.

His next fight is against unknown quantity Matt Greer. I mean this is just getting embarrassing now. The guy he’s fighting has lost 8 of his 23 fights. That’s just out and out pathetic. The fact that he’s calling out David Price and Tyson Fury, who are genuine contenders, is ridiculous. There were even rumors that Klitschko knocked him down numerous times in sparring.

Wilder vs. Greer possibly to be televised in U.S. on Fox Espanol

wilder2By Scott Gilfoid: U.S boxing fans could be in for a treat on January 19th, as the 10 round fight between Deontay Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) and Matt “Gator” Greer (15-8, 13 KO’s) may be televised in the United States on Fox Espanol from the Centro de Convenciones, Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. It’s still too early to tell right now but that would be great for American fans to be able to see the 27-year-old Wilder in action in this fight.

This is merely a stay busy fight and nothing really special. Golden Boy Promotions had a spot for one of their cards in Mexico, and Wilder was asked on short notice if he was interested in taking the fight and of course he said yes. Wilder wants to fight as often as possible against whoever he can get in the ring. If there’s none of the big names available to fight him then he’s fine with taking on a lesser fighter to stay sharp.

Deontay Wilder set for a 27th straight knockout win!

wilder3By Adam Mccoy: Bronze Bomber Wilder will be facing journeyman Matt Greer next in his 27th pro contest. It’s amazing after 26 fights Deontay is still fighting these guys that have no chance of winning or even no chance of surviving more than 6 rounds. Matt Greer is a lamb being sent to get slaughtered, remember Amir Khans recent critics that Molina was picked for him? It seems that when a boxer suffers a string of defeats they have a tune up to get back into winning ways.

Deontay Wilder is doing the exact opposite because he knows the second he faces someone even ranked in the top 50 chances are he will either get KO’D or found out big style. Wilder instead of stepping up opposition is facing these unknowns or journeymen to keep the KO record going.

Fury: I want Deontay Wilder, Jennings or Banks in the United States

wilder5By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury (20-0, 14 KO’s) says he’s interested in facing American heavyweights Deontay Wilder, Bryant Jennings or Johnathon Banks soon in the United States. Fury, 24, doesn’t say when he plans on fighting one or all of them, only that he wants to fight one. It’s no secret that the talented knockout artist Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) tried calling Fury only last year but was only ignored. It kind of reminded me how Adrien Broner tried to get a fight with Ricky Burns and had no luck as well.

Wilder had this to say about Fury at Uk.fighthype.com, saying “I would like a fight with him [Fury] as soon as possible, but he’s a coward. He won’t fight anyone he knows he has a high chance of losing against.”

Tyson Fury vs. David Price: Indecent Proposal

fury334By Rusty Nate: So the recently revised offer is now £1,000,000 for Tyson Fury to jump in the ring with David Price, according to Frank Maloney who goes on to tell us that the fight can happen in either London or Liverpool in June this year.

This situation throws up so many arguments between fans that believe one fighter is better than the other.

I read an article earlier this week that wrote “Price has already proved he has a suspect chin in the amateurs”. This was of course from everyone’s favorite writer and admirer of everything Deontay Wilder.

Deontay Wilder rated fourth most dangerous fighter in the world

wilder52By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight knockout artist Deontay Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) has been given a rating of the fourth most dangerous fighter in the world by the prestigious fightersrated.com site. Wilder is ranked below only #1 Vitaki Klitschko, #2 Floyd Mayweather Jr and #3 Wladimir Klitschko. I must say I totally with this ranking.

I don’t agree with a numbers on the list because some of them can’t punch their way out of a wet paper back, while others are not even relevant fighters. However, I do agree 100% with the placement of the hard hitting Wilder in the top 4 because he clearly is the biggest puncher in the heavyweight division right now.

Byrd: Deontay Wilder is similar to Michael Grant

wilder23By Scott Gilfoid: Former IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Chris Byrd sees the talented unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (26-0, 26 KO’s) as another Michael Grant (31-0, 21 KO’s) in terms of Wilder being kind of a raw fighter. Byrd is concerned that Wilder’s opposition has been too weak and that he’s just piling up knockout wins for the heck of it instead of being challenged to where he’ll learn something.

Byrd said to secondsout.com “Deontay Wilder is like a Michael Grant. A Michael Grant in progress, he’s very raw. When you have so many knockouts it scares me because who are you fighting to get a record like that?”
