42-year-old Antonio Tarver issues challenge to David Haye for April bout

By Jason Kim: Former IBF/WBA/WBC light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver (28-6, 19 KO’s) has called out WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) on his twitter page. Taver, 42, just recently moved up to the heavyweight division and defeated Nagy Aguilera by a 10 round unanimous decision last year in October. However, despite not even being ranked in the top tier of heavyweight contenders, Tarver had this to say about wanting to fight Haye:

Tarver started off slow in the 1st round but quickly threw off the 17-month ring rust and began to punish the slower Aguilera with straight left hands and mean uppercuts to the head. Tarver looked like Tarver of old as the fight progressed into the last half of the fight when he was really punishing Aguilera with combinations and flurries.
