By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch could be facing a potential nightmarish opponent in unbeaten number #1 ranked WBC contender Anthony Dirrell (23-0, 20 KO’s) in the near future if the 27-year-old Dirrell beats his next opponent Renan St Juste (23-2-1, 15 KO’s) on December 2nd in a WBC final title eliminator but at the Chumash Casino, Santa Ynez, California. I’m really high on Anthony Dirrell. He’s been kind of overlooked due to his talented brother Andre, but he’s every bit as good but in a slightly different way because he focuses more on offense than Andre. I’d favor Anthony Dirrell any day of the week over the slow, plodding and limited Froch. Anthony is simply a much better fighter with more tools than Froch can ever hope to be. Anthony is just blessed with amazing talent like his brother from birth.

Photo credit: Photo Wende – By Scott Gilfoid: After struggling badly to beat the speedy, talented Andre Dirrell (18-1, 13 KO’s) by a highly controversial 12 round split decision last October, World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch (26-0, 20 KO’s) isn’t sure who will be the one that comes out on top this Saturday night between Dirrell and Arthur Abraham (31-0, 25 KO’s) at the Joe Louis Arena, in Detroit, Michigan. In a press release sent earlier today, Froch, 32, had this to say about the Dirrell-Abraham fight: It will be a brutal knockout by Abraham or a boring points decision by Dirrell…Come on Abraham, catch him sweet.” There you have it. Froch isn’t sure who will win.
Abraham-Dirrell: Look for Andre to make Arthur look slow
By Scott Gilfoid: The stage 2 Super Six bout between Arthur Abraham and Andre Dirrell may well be the best fight that boxing fans will get to see during the entire Super Six tournament.
It matches two contrasting styles that are hard to ignore. On one side you have Abraham, a slow moving, slow punching slugger who tends to do very little punching for the first five to six rounds of every fight as he likes to conserve energy.

By William Mackay: In an article at the BBC, previously undefeated super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell’s manager Gary Shaw admitted after the fight that Dirrell should have fought differently against WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch last Saturday night, commenting “we kept telling him [Dirrell] to box, but after watching him in rounds 10, 11 and 12, trading with Froch, maybe we should have traded from round one.”
