By William Mackay: If welterweight contender Kell Brook (24-0, 16 KO’s) can get by his next opponent Rafael Jackiewicz (38-9-1, 19 KO’s) this Saturday night and look good in winning he fight, Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn wants to take the 25-year-old Brook over to the United States to try and make Brook a super star in the same way that Amir Khan has carved a small niche for himself in the States.

By William Mackay: It looks like IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) has finally gotten his big wish. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has agreed to fight him, Khan said to Sky Sports News. Of course, Mayweather saying he’ll fight Khan doesn’t mean he actually will, so hopefully Khan doesn’t get his hopes up too much and end up getting deflated when the fight doesn’t materialize next year.

By William Mackay: The December 10th fight between IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) and challenger Lamont Peterson (29-1-1, 15 KO’s) will be taking place at the Washington DC Convention Center. This will be Khan’s last fight at light welterweight (140 lbs) before he moves up next year to try and get a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., who Khan talks about night and day.
