Brook faces Jackiewicz tomorrow, still hopes Khan will fight him
By William Mackay: Despite IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan saying he’ll be looking to take on Matthew Hatton in his first fight at welterweight in early 2012, unbeaten Kell Brook (24-0, 16 KO’s) is still holding out hope that Khan will change his mind and fight him. I wouldn’t recommend that Brook put his life on hold waiting for that to happen, because it doesn’t fit Khan’s tendencies.

Khan: If Peterson beats me my hopes of fighting Mayweather will be over
By Sean McDaniel: IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan is in a high pressure situation in his next fight against Lamont Peterson on December 10th. Khan has to absolutely win that fight for him to stay on the path for a big money world title fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., who Khan hopes he can fight next year at some point.
Anthony Peterson to fight on Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson undercard on December 10th
By Eric Thomas; Former lightweight contender Anthony Peterson (30-1, 20 KO’s) will finally be returning to the ring on December 10th on the undercard of the championship bout between IBF/WBA light welterweight title holder Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson at the Convention Center in Washinton, DC. Anthony still doesn’t have an opponent picked out yet, but it probably won’t be someone too good because he’s coming off a loss.
Khan has no size advantage over Peterson: This could be big trouble for Amir
By William Mackay: If you look at IBF/WBA light welterweight champion 5’10” Amir Khan’s previous 27 fights as a pro, Khan has been the taller fighter in 26 of those 27 fights. The one fight where he was the shorter guy was against the 5’11” Breidis Prescott, who easily knocked Khan out in the 1st round in 2008.
Khan targeting Matthew Hatton as warm-up fight at welterweight
By William Mackay: It was thought previously that IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan would be facing a quality welterweight like number #2 ranked WBO contender Kell Brook in Khan’s warm-up fight at welterweight (147 lbs) before possibly getting a money fight against unbeaten WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year.
Khan says Floyd afraid to fight Manny
By John F. McKenna (McJack): In a surprising turn of events WBA/IBF light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) is accusing World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26 KO’s) of being afraid to fight WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KO’s).
Khan: Mayweather is getting caught now, and looking robotic
By Sean McDaniel: IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan is licking his chops at the thought of facing what he perceives as a fading WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khan thinks Mayweather is starting to lose his skills, noting that Mayweather is getting hit now rather than making his opponents miss.
Khan: David Haye can come back and win a world title
By William Mackay: It’s really touching how Amir Khan still believes former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) can make a comeback and win a world title. How Khan can think this after watching Haye get totally dominated by IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko last July is unclear.
