By Jason Kim: An interesting fight between junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo (20-1, 17 KO’s) and James Kirkland (29-1. 26 KO’s) is almost a reality for November 5th, according to the latest boxing news. The only thing the fight needs right now is Kirkland’s signature on the contract and then the fight is good to go on HBO for Cancun, Quintana, Mexico.

In his twitter page, Kim said “It looks like Vanes Martirosyan is balking at the deal to face Alfred Angulo on Nov5 for some reason. We’ll see if someone can change or turn Vanes around. Right now, he may be Pavlik’ing his own career.”

For the 21-year-old Alvarez, this could be the last easy fight before he’s faced with the tough task of fighting either Vanes Martirosyan or Alfredo Angulo, both very tough fighters and arguably a lot better than the guys Alvarez has been fighting.
