If Fury wins the fight, Steward says Wladimir probably won’t be fighting Fury. Steward sees the still very gree Fury moving ahead picking up more experience to improve slowly. Steward is giving Fury the edge over Chisora in their match-up.

Chagaev and Povetkin to fight for WBA regular heavyweight title

Instead, the 30-year-old Haye is going to face former 2004 Olympic heavyweight Gold Medalist Alexander Povetkin to negotiate a fight for May 21st. According to boxrec, Haye and Povetkin are already in successful negotiations.

Chagaev, 32, reportedly had Hepatitis B in the past, and if that illness is still lingering inside of him, the BBBofC will not let Chagaev fight Haye inside the UK.

Povetkin, 31, opted to not face IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko next, despite Povetkin being the IBF mandatory challenger for the 34-year-old Klitschko. Povetkin’s trainer Teddy Atlas felt that Povetkin wasn’t ready for the fight at this time.
