Khan has had a career full of highs and lows and, at the young age of 26, Khan is already trying to rebuild his career after the devastating knockout defeat to Danny Garcia and his point’s loss to Lamont Peterson.

Khans’ career started with a stellar amateur background culminating in an Olympic silver medal. His professional career started off very well before a shock defeat to the relatively unknown Breidis Prescott put a few doubts in a lot of people’s minds.

The future of heavyweight boxing

wilder23By Matty Buckland: Recently we have seen a couple of the top young heavyweight contenders to the Klitschko brothers crowns fight and we have seen David Price found wanting in his bout against Tony Thompson. The other 2 young prospects, Deontay Wilder who will be taking on Audley Harrison soon and Tyson Fury who has just had a TKO victory over Steve Cunningham.

A lot has been said on this site about these 3 young fighters, by fans and writers alike and some of it is very one sided and at times been extremely xenophobic and Id like to give a fair and impartial look at them as opposed to some writers purely negative views just because of the fighters nationality.

Froch v Kessler – boxing at its mouth watering best!

froch#7By Matty Buckland: Carl Froch v Mikkel Kessler on May 25th has got to be the most anticipated fight in this years boxing calendar. Both fighters are hugely respected around the boxing world and are equally as entertaining to watch. Froch and Kessler both bring something exciting to the ring, whether it is Froch’s heart and desire to succeed no matter what the cost or Kessler’s great skill and experience.

The first fight between the pair was a barn stormer! I am a huge fan of both Froch and Kessler and felt that Kessler just nudged the decision in there first titanic battle even though it was a closely fought contest but felt Kessler’s natural skills prevailed through.
