Can Mayweather make it to 50-0?

1-05-1By Jon Jencitis: With the the fact that Manny Pacquiao is out for 9 months to a year recovering from surgery, it clearly shows that rematch between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr. won’t take pace before Floyd has his 49th and “Final” fight. This predicament is perfect for Floyd as he can give Manny a rematch and at the same time beat former heavyweight world champion Rocky Marciano’s record 49-0 record, because he will beat a fully fit Manny Pacquiao. This begs another question who’s next for Mayweather? Anir Khan? Migiel Cotto?

I believe it will be Amir Khan. Khan’s only weapon that can do any damage to Floyd is his speed, Other than that Floyd out classes him.

Mayweather v Pacquiao Part 2

1-IMG_8695By Jon Jencitis: Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Manny Pacquiao last Saturday night by a 12 round unanimous decision at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have always been told the aim of boxing is to hit and not get hit and what did Floyd do? EXACTLY THAT! Yes, he hugged a lot and kept his distance but he utilized his added reach and height to great effect.

Pacquiao rarely got close and the stats tell the story 19% landed for Pacquiao and 34% for Floyd. If that isn’t an indicator as to who won the fight I don’t know, as they both threw around the same amount of punches (around 480). Floyd used the ring to his advantage, rarely standing toe to toe with Manny. I gave the fight 117-111 for Floyd.
