What’s the hold up on negotiations between Mayweather and Pacquiao?

floyd333By BR: Recently, the public boxing audience have been in a mental roller-coaster attempting to figure out the logistics of the long overdue fight. It has become apparent even casual fans have become intrigued in the negotiation process.

Hardcore boxing fans would much rather teleport to May 2, 2015 then deal with the mental warfare on display. But as human we tend to love every ounce of information rather it be completely wrong or unreliable. So as fans what should we believe?

Mayweather vs Pacquiao: No More Excuses, Set It Up!

YouTube video
BR:   Last night, my prediction of Pacquiao annihilating Algieri was spot on. Regardless of the distractions or the constant questioning, he came out in superb form. Quick footwork with crisp shots, while some were thrown irresponsibly but it was simply because Pacquiao had no respect for Algieri’s power. For Algieri, no excuses should be given for the young star, he is highly qualified but could not adjust to Pacquiao constant attack and footwork. So what is next for the Philipino superstar?

For many fans, we’ve been hearing more rumours and talks from camps about the Mayweather fight more frequently in a long time. It completely baffles me that two of the biggest boxing stars in our era, have not graced the public with a bout. It’s not so much the thought of one simple match, these two men could produce a trilogy. Millions of fans are so fed up with the constant arguing amongst one another and frustration on the lack of initiative being taken to produce a simple agreement. Enough with the back and forth and post fight propaganda, these two men need to man up and step in the ring.

So with the slim pickings of opponents for Mayweather, every fights becomes harder and harder to produce.

Is Canelo Alvarez overrated or underrated?

canelo0256By Br: I remember watching Saul “Canelo” Alvarez fight in 2008 against Larry Mosley, and I was amazed at his skill. He displayed incredible power and good body movement. If you go and analyze the rounds where round 2 by far caught my attention.

Many would say ‘well, who is that nobody he fought?’ Well regardless if the opponent, Canelo’s skill was on display and he continued to amuse us all by trucking through many opponents. It wasn’t until Canelo met real competition in Austin Trout, Floyd Mayweather Jr and contrary to belief Erislandy Lara (Even though I was appalled with the way Lara fought given the talk he stirred up).

Mayweather and Pacquiao fans need to stop Whining

pac245By BR: When the word boxing is mentioned nowadays fans speaks either of Floyd Mayweather Jr or Manny Pacquiao, even without them knowing whom they fought. They just seem to be a household names. Boxing fans however know every aspect of the boxers, whether it be their lives or careers, we have it down and memorized.

Now it’s safe to say there is a big difference between the mainstream fans and hardcore fans. But what is similar in trait is the fact that both fans share a common ground, meaningless arguments, saying things without proof, evidence of absence.

Asking oneself is it justified to believe something that is not true. Take for instance, when some fan hear Mayweather vs Pacquiao, he rambles that “Floyd is ducking,” a hardcore fan (with intelligence) would understand the nature of business but at the same time give blame to both sides for lack of urgency to put forth the biggest boxing match in the past decade.
