O’Shaquie Foster Labels Shakur Stevenson ‘Biggest Duck in Boxing’ After Being Left Off Opponent List

By Ken Woods - 07/11/2026 - Comments

The WBC super featherweight champion criticized Stevenson after the Zuffa Boxing star discussed future opponents without mentioning him

O’Shaquie Foster reignited his rivalry with Shakur Stevenson by accusing the former three-division champion of avoiding a fight with him. Foster’s comments followed a recent interview in which Stevenson discussed several future opponents but did not mention the reigning WBC super featherweight champion.

The post came after Brunch Boxing’s Matt highlighted that Shakur mentioned several names during a recent interview but omitted O’Shaquie, despite previously indicating he would consider facing him if Foster defeated Ray Ford.

O’Shaquie has long pushed for the matchup. The two share history from the amateur ranks and have exchanged words publicly over the past few years, but negotiations have never advanced to the point of a signed fight.

Instead, Shakur has recently focused on bigger-name options following his move to Zuffa Boxing. During media appearances this week, he mentioned interest in fights against Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney and Conor Benn while continuing to pursue the highest-profile bouts available.

O’Shaquie, meanwhile, appears determined to keep the pressure on.

His message suggests he believes Shakur is intentionally overlooking him in favor of more lucrative opponents, despite Foster holding a world title at super featherweight.

The matchup would pit two of boxing’s most technically gifted defensive fighters against one another, though it has often been criticized as a difficult fight to sell commercially because of their styles. O’Shaquie’s comments indicate he has no intention of letting the idea fade quietly.

Stevenson has not publicly responded to O’Shaquie’s latest accusation. With Shakur tied to Zuffa Boxing’s future plans and Foster continuing to defend his WBC title, there is still no indication that the fight is close to being finalized.
