Shakur Stevenson predicts a knockout victory for lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis (9-0, 6 KOs) in his ten-round fight against Jose Pedraza (29-5-1, 14 KOs) this Thursday night in Las Vegas, live on ESPN+ at 10:30 pm ET.

Shakur believes that Keyshawn is destined to be “One of the greats” in the sport, but if that’s the case, he will need to improve dramatically from his last fight against Nahir Albright, which he arguably lost. Keyshawn looked the opposite of great and was so, so boring.

Keyshawn looked like a slightly better version of Shakur, and that’s NOT a compliment. If Davis looks bad again, Top Rank needs to get a broom and sweep him and Shakur out the door.

Stevenson says he’s watched Keyshawn dominate in the gym, and he feels he’s going to “tear” apart the 34-year-old former two-division world champion Pedraza in their co-feature bout on ESPN at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.

Keyshawn Needs Step it Up

Considering that Pedraza hasn’t won a fight in four years since 2020, it’s safe to say that Keyshawn will win the fight, but what will the victory prove? When you’re facing a fighter who is well past his prime and hasn’t won a fight in four years, where’s the gain?

Stevenson’s Bold Prediction

“Keyshawn, at his best, I think he stops Pedraza. I think he beats the holy s*** out of Pedraza. I think it’s a mismatch,” said Shakur Stevenson to Fighthype about this Thursday’s fight between lightweight contender Keyshawn Davis and the 34-year-old Jose Pedraza, who has seen better days.

“I’ve seen Keyshawn put in some in the gym performances where I’m like, ‘He’s something cold.’ Keyshawn, at his best, he’s stopping Pedraza. I don’t want to put pressure on my brother because I wouldn’t want him to put the same pressure on me.

“I got to keep it real. He’s going to tear him up. Yeah, he’s ready,” said Stevenson when asked if Keyshawn is ready for a world title shot. “I know a lot of people be saying otherwise.

“This Pedraza is going to help him settle in. I think Keyshawn is going to be one of the greats in the sport of boxing. I think he’s going to have a great career,” said Shakur.
