Teofimo has a lot to prove in this fight because a lot of boxing fans are expecting him to turn in another poor performance after his win over Josh Taylor last June.

It’s been the 25-year-old Teofimo’s habit to struggle after a significant win, and he’s due to another off-performance after his victory over the former undisputed 140-lb champion Taylor, who he dominated.

Teofimo and his dad made a big deal out of the win over Taylor; even the boxing world views the Scottish fighter as a shot.

Keyshawn Davis Eyes Bigger Fish

“I did a lot more in this training camp to get me prepared for a fight like this,” said Keyshawn Davis to the media about his fight with Jose Pedraza on Thursday night.

“I don’t got no worries, no nerves. I feel great. Mentally, I’m there for sure. I feel like my last fight [Nahir Albright last November] showed that I can be a contender in this fight, but after this fight, it’s for sure.

“All the prospects that have been calling me out, I’m not entertaining that stuff no more. I’m really starting to look at bigger fish in the sea. After this fight when I crush Pedraza, I would love to fight [Emanuel] Navarrete,” said Keyshawn.

If Keyshawn comes out victorious against’ The Sniper’ Pedraza on Thursday, he will need to downsize his ambitions for a while and focus on a more attainable target for his next fight. Navarrete isn’t going to fight Keyshawn because there’s nothing in it for him to face.

A better option for Keyshawn would be Frank Martin or Raymond Muratalla for his next fight.
