Ngannou senses vulnerability, Joshua’s Chin on the Menu: March 8th Clash Promises Fireworks

Francis Ngannou says Anthony Joshua won’t get up from the punch that he knocked Tyson Fury down with last October in Saudi Arabia. Most fans would agree. Ngannou’s power shot that put the big 270+ lb Fury in the dirt would have AJ counting stars, and he’d be done for the night.

The power-punching Ngannou (0-1) says he’s heard that AJ has a chin problem, and he can’t wait to find out on March 8th when they fight in Saudi Arabia.

AJ’s Chin in the Spotlight

Joshua hasn’t been knocked out for a while, thanks to cunning match-making done for him by his calculated promoter, Eddie Hearn, who has matched AJ exclusively against non-punchers since his rematch with an out-of-shape 283-lb Andy Ruiz Jr. in December 2019.

Hearn has kept Joshua’s career going by propping him up against modest opposition, like Otto Wallin, Jermaine Franklin, and Robert Helenius.

“If Anthony Joshua takes the punch that Tyson Fury [was knocked down by], I don’t guarantee that he’s getting up. I’ve heard that he doesn’t have a chin, I’m going to find out,” said Francis Ngannou to Ariel Helwani’s forum.

Hearn looking worried

“So, you think Francis Ngannou will beat Anthony Joshua? Take my money, and I’ll show you what happens when Anthony Joshua fights Francis Ngannou,” said a worried-looking Eddie Hearn.

The way that Hearn was jabbering, almost studdering, it seems obvious that he’s having kittens, worrying about what could happen to Joshua if Ngannou flatlines him on March 8th.

All the gold bullion that Joshua would be getting for a fight with Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia would be gone in an instant, all because of his brilliant idea of matching him against the powerful former UFC champion.

This fight is Hearn’s baby, and he would be the one to take the full brunt of the backlash that would erupt after Joshua is destroyed.

“The date is set for two months from now. If any of them think they’re going to have easy money, too bad for them,” said Ngannou, reacting to Hearn viewing the fight as a sure-thing win for AJ.
