Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz “Will Be a Problem” for Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero Says Andre Rozier

Trainer Andre Rozier believes that Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz could outwork and outhustle Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero to dethrone him of his WBA light welterweight title on March 30th.

Rozier feels that Cruz (25-2-1, 17 KOs) has the chin to take Rolly’s heavy shots, get in close, and work outwork him on the inside to pound out a twelve-round decision in their chief support bout on the Tim Tszyu vs. Keith Thurman card on Amazon Prime Video PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Andre feels that if Rolly can’t Pitbull in this fight, he’s going to be a “problem” for him, and he could lose his WBA 140-lb title in his first defense. If that happens, Rolly will be sorry that he didn’t take the Ryan Garcia fight instead.

“Rolly is a character. He’s very funny, entertaining. He can punch, but in the skill department, he needs to work a lot more, and I think Pitbull is going to put a lot of pressure on him,” said trainer Andre Rozier to Fighthype about the March 30th fight between WBA light welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero on Amazon Prime PPV in Las Vegas.

“He’s [Pitbull] going to keep it close and outhustle him. Every fight is different, but you have to sort of favor that factor. Gervonta couldn’t get him out of there, and boy, he gets everyone out of there,” said Rozier when asked about the likelihood that Rolly won’t be able to knock out Pitbull Cruz because Gervonta Davis couldn’t do it when they fought in December 2021.

“Pitbull must have a great chin, and his pressure is something that puts people in an uncomfortable position. It’s going to be tough. Rolly is going to see some things he hasn’t seen, especially when it comes to the pressure.

“If he can’t put any discernable hurt on Pitbull in this fight, it’s going to be a problem. Nah, I don’t like Pitbull as that guy. He’s not that guy that gets you out of there.

“He’s that guy that outworks you and outhustles you. That’s his thing. So, I don’t think that’s going to happen, but I can see him outhustling Rolly for sure,” said Rozier when asked if he thinks Pitbull will stop Rolando.
