by Ingram Jones: On December 12th Unbeaten UK Heavyweights Anthony Joshua & Dillian Whyte battle it out for the British Heavyweight Title in a grudge match to settle once and for all who the best fighter is between the pair.

A grudge that began way back in the amateurs and has continued the pro ranks and James Ali Bashir told BaylorIC TV that he had to pull the pair apart as tensions were raised when a conversation about the amateur bout begun at a Klitschko Camp. No 1 world ranked challenger Tyson Fury also a UK based heavyweight, unbeaten challenges Wladimir Klitschko for the heavyweight championship of the world. So the UK Heavyweight boxing scene is very much alive and kicking.

Enter David Allen, now unbeaten in 9 bouts has a connection with all the fighters mentioned. Previously Allen nicknamed the “White Rhino” has sparred regularly with Anthony Joshua and claims to have “never been off his feet”. David Allen has travelled the world, learning his trade sparring with the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and has been at one point under the studious eyes of Peter Fury who was full of praise of “The White Rhino” when recently invited on a BaylorIC TV special called “An Audience with Peter Fury” where he referred to as tough and highly skilled. While in camp with the Furys, David also managed to spar with the furious one Tyson Fury.

So you’re probably asking how this connects to Dillian Whyte. Well, Allen has never sparred with Dillian Whtye but his next opponent whom he faces at the Doncaster Dome on November 28th named Kamil Sokolowski (6 fights, 4 losses 1 draw and 1 win) has fought Dillian Whyte. Records are very deceiving and while you may question Allen’s next opponent..

Kamil is no mug. His first pro fight was against Adam Machaj and beat Machaj on points (Machaj unbeaten before that fight). Allen was originally due to face Machaj before he pulled out 3 days before the fight with injury and was replaced by tough and experienced Frenchman Fabrice Aurieng. Aurieng was in great shape preparing to defend his world kick boxing title and Eddie Hearn praised David Allen for taking the step up fight when many would have declined the fight at such a short notice and with so little experience as a pro. Let’s not forget Allen only had 10 Amateur bouts. Allen won that fight on points, dropping the Aurieng in the first 30 seconds. A step up fight for the then 8-0 fighter. The fight while not televised but was on the matchroom bill was on the same card as Jamie Mcdonnell’s European title defence against Parodi who is actually managed by the Stefy Bull who also manages David Allen.

Back to the Whyte connection. Kamil was stopped in his second fight against Dilian Whyte in 3 rounds. Kamil took Dominic Akinlande, another unbeaten UK heavyweight to points in a tough fight. Then the polish fighter took on Kash Ali unbeaten in 8 fights another points loss and most recently lost on points to Sam Sexton another UK fighter who was a former prizefighter champion and commonwealth heavyweight champion. Sexton has mixed it twice with Dereck Chisora, Martin Rogan and David Price.

So Allen faces Sokolowski at Doncaster Dome and in his mind, this is no walk in the park. It will tell us more about how good “The White Rhino” is. If he can stop Kamil faster that Whyte or even force a stoppage victory it will look good on the record of improving David Allen.
