MIAMI (November 4, 2015) – 2008 Olympic Bronze medalist Kanat Islam (19-0, 16 KOs) and Miami’s Breidis Prescott (28-7, 21 KOs) enter the ring in separate undercard bouts on Saturday, November 7 from Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami.
The November 7 event is headlined by Kevin Bizier (24-2, 16 KOs) and Fredrick Lawson (24-0, 20 KOs) in a 147-pound showdown on Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBCSN. Televised coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with Walter Castillo (26-3, 19 KOs) taking on Keita Obara (15-1, 14 KOs).
The 2008 Olympic Bronze medalist Kanat Islam (19-0, 16 KOs) squares off against Jonathan Batista (15-7, 8 KOs) in a 10-round super welterweight contest while Prescott competes in an eight-round welterweight battle against Claudinei Lacerda (17-12, 12 KOs).

Additional action features 28-year-old Courtney Jackson (6-0, 4 KOs), of Homestead, Florida in a four-round welterweight bout against Miami’s Elijah Linder (2-2) and 26-year-old Cleveland-native Yuandale Evans (17-1, 13 KOs) against Puerto Rico’s Miguel Del Valle (10-23, 2 KOs) in a six-round featherweight attraction.
Rounding out the night of fights is 26-year-old super middleweight Victor Darocha (2-0, 2 KOs) fighting in his hometown in a four-round affair against Miami’s Yendris Rodriguez (1-0, 1 KO) and 20-year-old Tampa-native Bruno Bredicean (1-0) against Miami’s Clifford Gray (0-2) in a four-round welterweight match.
A two-time Olympian from China who trains out of Pahokee, Florida, Islam looks for his second victory of 2015 in his second fight in the U.S. The 31-year-old won the Bronze medal at the 2008 games and is undefeated since turning pro in 2012. His last seven bouts have ended inside the distance and he looks to keep the momentum going when he faces the 31-year-old Batista out of the Dominican Republic.
Born in Columbia but fighting out of Miami, Prescott is coming off of a stoppage over Kendry Galban in July. The 32-year-old owns a thrilling first round knockout victory over Amir Khan and hopes to put on a show for his adopted hometown when he takes on the 32-year-old Lacerda out of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
