thurman432By Dan Ech: I’m back BN24 reader fans with more disappointing news but first let me say thank you to everyone that has posted and re-posted, tweeted, shared this week in regards to BN24’s articles on Keith “One Time” Thurman aka Keith “Thunder” Thurman. Let me give you guys some quick numbers to show you guys what type of interest there was for Floyd Mayweather Jr: Thurman is too “Green” here at BN24.
FB shares – 538 Twitter Tweets – 14 P-shares 583 BN24 comments – 221 Facebook comments – 222

These numbers don’t lie and they show their truly is a real interest in Floyd Mayweather along with other top 10 fighters stepping in the ring with Keith Thurman. Some stand out comments on Mayweather: Thurman is too “Green” were.

Throughout the whole comment section the comments that are “against” Keith Thurman all say the same thing which is Keith Thurman doesn’t deserve a fight because he hasn’t fought anyone. So my question to you is does Keith Thurman not deserve a major fight because of his “resume” or because of his “skill” level? What did Chris Algieri do in his last 5 fights to land Manny Pacquiao? What did Rod Salka ranked number 73 do in his last 5 fight to land a fight with champion Danny Garcia? What did Mauricio Herrera do in his last 5 fights to land a fight with the champion Danny Garcia? Danny was also asked about Thurman recently via “Tha Boxing Voice”

TBV: ”Danny do you feel as confident as your dad that the Porters the Thurman’s the Mayweathers of the world are just a fight away for you”?

Danny Garcia: ”Oh NO DOUBT I can compete with any of those guys them guys aint face nobody I faced you know what I’m saying I faced the toughest most vicious champions, I fought Lucas Matthyse when NOBODY wanted to face him.

Danny Garcia: “Keith Thurman is a good fighter at 147 but still hasn’t beat NOBODY to be like you know “ELITE” you know to sell out stadiums”.

In an interview after Shawn Porter vs. Kell Brook British Promoter and Promoter to Champion Kell Brook Eddie Hearn was asked about the future of the newly crowned Champion Kell Brook.

British Reporter: ”Why don’t you match Brook up with Keith Thurman who is good and that’s what boxing fans want to see”?

Eddie Hearn: “You’re talking about “boxing fans” and NO ONE has EVER heard of Keith Thurman except “hardcore” boxing fans, (Thurman) Great Fighter, Really Wacked, Great fight for Kell Brook, but from a profile perspective (money) theirs others out there that mean more too “casual” fans. Thurman yes he’s in the mix it’s a very tough fight and difficult fight not sure if it (Thurman) will be Brooks’s first defense fight”.

In my opinion the real core issue is not Keith Thurman’s resume it is really about his “Risk to Reward” ratio notice every fighter / Promoter says the same exact thing “Keith Thurman is a good fighter, Tough Fighter, difficult fighter” but after praising him they all know what the next question will be. The next question is always “What’s the problem with making a fight with Keith Thurman after you just praised his accomplishments”?

The one and ONLY answer that they all repeat time after time after time is the WORLD FAMOUS QUOTE “Keith Thurman hasn’t fought ANYONE or ANYBODY” but I guess Salka did and Herrera did and Algieri did RIGHT ! In conclusion Keith Thurman does not have big names on his fight “resume” but good ones on his training “resume” which are former Light Middleweight Champion Winky Wright, former IBF Super Middleweight Champion Jeff Lacy, Two-Time Welter Weight Champion Andre Berto and former WBC,WBA,IBF and RING Light Heavyweight Champion Antonio Tarver just to name a few under the guidance of legendary trainer Benjamin Getty trainer for Suger Ray Leonard who unfortunately passed away and now trainer Dan Birmingham has taken over Thurman’s career.

STOP DODGING and start FIGHTING!

Side note: Thurman was brought in to improve the Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 undercard but injured his shoulder in training and was of course dropped from the card so rumor has it that Thurman will be back at the end of the year against Mexico’s #3 ranked Roberto Garcia again another “NO NAME” fighter.
