Sparks Fly At The Troxy London

Spectators left The Troxy in London delighted having witnessed an array of boxing talent in what turned out to be one of the most heated nights the city has seen since World Word II. Bad Boy Promotions managed to unleash spectacular fights in which thousands saw battles from a mix of up and coming stars in the boxing world.

The security teams certainly earned their pay having to try and contain things boiling over in the stands and even the changing rooms would you believe. At times scenes reminded you of a Royal Rumble from the WWF.

In the much anticipated fight between Jonathan ‘The Hatchet’ Cava and Dave ‘Jesus’ Robinson we viewed your typical boxer vs fighter collision. The atmosphere was electric with the Latino Bomber having a following Oscar De Lay Hoya would have been proud of. On this occasion there was not be any help from above for Dave Robinson who came into the fight having recorded 3 straight knockouts, as The Hatchet’s movement was hard to contend with in the first landing jabs at will and a devastating right to the body. Robinson then tried to get Cava into a brawl in which he landed a couple of big shots to the face and head but this was too few and far between to get Cava uncomfortable as he responded with combos to the head and body. A cutting uppercut from Cava then pretty much ended the enthusiasm Robinson came into the ring with. The game plan put together but the Urban Legend and Half Man Half Beast was instrumental in the downfall of Robinson.

Negotiations are taking place with some big names for Jonathan Cava’s next opponent and this will be managed by his team at the newly formed Urban Beast Promotions who have been tipped to rival Golden Boy in the future. They are looking to keep him busy and we might be looking at October potentially at the Legendary York Hall.
