Sulaiman said on his twitter: “Yesterday I met @NoDoubtTrout and had a talk, he is such a nice man. I promised him neutrality in ring official’s decisions if the bout goes. The long way, he told me he trusted the #WBC. I’m happy for champions like him, humble and courageous at the same time.”

I hope Trout feels the same about the judges after the fight because there are a lot of boxing fans who are wondering whether Trout will be given a fair shake given that he’s going to be fighting Canelo in front of 40,000 Canelo fans in the state of Texas on Saturday.

Canelo will not only have the huge crowd on his favorite, but he’s also someone that is expected to carry the sport for the next 10-12 years. When you’re facing a fighter like that it sometimes can be extremely difficult to get a decision against them. Trout may have to really put it on Canelo if he wants to get a decision win.

It would really help Trout if he were able to score a knockout of Canelo, but that’s not going to be easy because Trout isn’t a huge puncher and Canelo seems to be able to take a good shot without getting hurt. Canelo has been hurt in his fight against Jose Miguel Cotto but that was three long years ago.

Canelo hasn’t faced a puncher since then. For Trout to get a knockout, he’d have to really jump all over Canelo like Cotto did and unload on him with a flurry of punches. It would be better for Trout to do this later in the fight after Canelo rounds out of gas then it would be for him to jump him early and risk running out of gas.
