By Reynaldo Sanchez: On November 30th Joan Guzman will face Khabib Allakhverdiev to dispute the WBA super lightweight title. This fight will be the main event at the “KO to Drugs” card that Acquinity Sports together with The WBA and The BB&T Center will present in Sunrise, Florida.
Guzman’s team they knows the Russian is a very dangerous opponent, due to his power and aggressiveness. Guzman opened his training camp early for this title shot, along with his trainer German Caicedo “We are coming for that title, our goal is to physically be in the best shape possible, the rest Guzman will do” said Caicedo
“I train convinced that there are no opponents only top contenders, I am focused to come to the ring in shape, the daily work out at the GYM are crazy, I will come and in the best physical conditions” said Guzman
German Caicedo said “We are not adding anything new to fight against Allakhverdiev, it is basically the same work out that we use with all our fighters. It doesn’t matter if they are Russian or Mexican we are not worried about it. Obviously some things change for a title fight and we account for that”
Henry Rivalta Guzman’s promoter said “Allakhverdiev is a warrior but we are confident that Joan has the talent to beat him. This fight will be a battle and is our main event at the “KO to Drugs” at November 30th, Guzman is ready, It’s Guzman time once again
