Why things will be different this time compared to the other three fights, Roach doesn’t say. He just seems to feel that the judges will finally give it to Marquez this time, perhaps to make up for the three previous fights?

Roach said to ESPN “I’m going to get my guy [Pacquiao] ready for the fight. There’s no way we’re going to win a decision this time. We need to knock this guy out, and to do that we have to be aggressive like in the 1st fight [in 2004]. The thing with Marquez is that he’s put on a lot of now. He’s got that strength and he’s getting a lot bigger and he’s a great puncher. I hate to lose and I’ve lost three fights in a row [actually, Roach, it’s four fights in a row. Your fighters Amir Khan x 2, Pacquiao x 1 and Vyacheslav Senchenko x 1 have all lost recently]. I take that personally and I lose a lot of sleep at night over that s***. The thing is I’ll train Pacquiao to the best of my ability, and I’ve got a student in front of me [Pacquiao] that wants the same things I do. So, I think this is going to be a great training camp. We’re not going to the Philippines. We’re going to concentrate and focus on this fight. We’re going to have a whole new line of sparring partners. We need bigger and stronger guys here because Marquez is a different person. I’ll make sure Manny is ready for the fight. I can’t lose four in a row.”
