Image: Ricky Hatton comeback possible for November 24thBy Sean McDaniel Former two division world champion Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO’s) will be making an announcement this Friday about his upcoming November 24th fight card at the MEN Arena in Manchester. There’s a ton of speculation that the 32-year-old Hatton will be making a comeback on that card.

Hatton hasn’t said anything about whether he’ll be making comeback or not, but he’s dropped a dramatic amount of weight from his once pudgy frame in a short period of time and many people believe he’s itching to get back into the ring to resume his boxing career.

On the November 24th card will be a rematch between Scott Quigg and Rendall Munroe, as well as middleweight contender Martin Murray in action. Lightweight Anthony Crolla will also be on the card against an opponent still to be determined

Hatton hasn’t fought since May of 2009 when he was knocked out in two by Manny Pacquiao. Hatton let his weight get away from after that loss and it looked like he lost his desire to compete in the sport from that bad experience.

A Hatton comeback would obviously sellout the MEN Arena and it’s likely that Sky would be interested in televising at least Hatton’s fight on the card, if not portions of the card.

WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi recently called out Hatton to try and get him to fight a rematch with him. That’s not going to happen this year if Hatton does come back, as Malignaggi has a fight scheduled on October 20th and won’t be available until 2013 for a fight with Hatton.
