By Steven Ocallaghan: Scott Harrison “The Real McCoy” is back in the ring on September 22nd in Glasgow fighting on the same bill as the Ricky Burns v Kevin Mitchell world title fight. Harrison after nearly a 7 year layoff due to well documented personal problems is back for his 2nd comeback fight against a TBA fighter.
After a 4th round stoppage of previously unbeaten teenager Gyorgy Miszel Jnr , Harrison is looking to fast-track a world title shot and with his exciting all action style i think it will happen.
Its almost exactly 10 years to the day after Harrison outpointed the WBO featherweight champ Julio Pablo Chacon to win the title and the time is now here for Scott to get back to the top.
If Harrison can recreate the performance of that night or the performance when after the night when Ricky Hatton won the world title against Kostya Tszyu on the Friday, The Scot came down to Manchester on the Saturday and even with the buzz in the area after the Hatton win , Harrison easily stopped the talented Michael Brodie in the 4th round, heading back up the road , still with the belt.
I for one would love to see Harrison back in the mix for a title and with the Harrison style it would sell all over the world.
The 22nd of September promises to be a big night in Glasgow with many talented boxers on show. A fight night I am really looking forward to attending
