Image: Froch-Mack tickets go on sale todayBy Scott Gilfoid: If you want tickets for the November 17th fight between IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch (29-2, 21 KO’s) and his light heavyweight challenger Yusaf Mack (31-4-2, 17 KO’s), the tickets are on sale today www.capitalfmarena.com for the fight that will be taking place at the Capital FM Arena, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK.

The prices of the tickets are as follows: £40, £60, £80, £120, £200 and £300 (plus booking fee).

Here’s my take on this: Those tickets are too damn high and need to come down a little to account for the terrible mismatch this fight is. I’d say cut the prices in half and make it a buy one get one free deal with a complimentary ticket thrown in for every purchase. I can’t imagine this god awful fight selling out the Nottingham Arena, because it’s one of the worst mismatches I’ve seen Froch involved with. But at least this way Froch and his promoter Eddie Hearn will have a good chance of selling out the Nottingham Arena without having to give away a mess of tickets at the last second.

If Froch wants all those screaming fans to be there watching his fight like there was for his last bout against Lucian Bute last May, then the ticket prices need to come down some. If you want to get people hooked, you got to give them a deal. Can’t make them pay the same price as they would if this were Froch facing a good opponent like Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward of Lucian Bute. This is Yusaf Mack, and prices need to be adjusted for the likely mismatch that this fight will be.

Can you imagine dumping all your hard earned cash on going to see this fight, and then it ends up with Froch knocking Mack out in the 1st round. It’s not as if the undercard will make up for what you won’t be seeing in the main event, because I’m betting this fight will be paired with some stinkers on the undercard.
