From the looks of it, the 29-year-old Guerrero wanted to get a fight at the end of the discussion but Broner seemed to decline.

Here’s what they said:

Broner: “@GHOSTBOXING Look we both good fighters one day we will make a mega fight hopefully soon!!!!! Let’s be real you know I’m the man when I got 147lb guys(@GHOSTBOXING) trying to make a big fight with me cause they can’t sell they self ha.”

Robert Guerrero ‏@GHOSTBOXING

“@AdrienBroner I’m not trying to sell nothing! Didn’t u call me, Marquez, and Pacman out?U called the big boys out I’m not letting it happen!”

Adrien Broner ‏@AdrienBroner

“@GHOSTBOXING listen any of you dudes can step in the ring with me at any weight and I will crush you all.”

Broner should consider taking that fight because the 5’8″ Guerrero isn’t much bigger than the 5’7″ Broner, and Guerrero only recently moved up in weight from lightweight to welterweight to take on the unbeaten and totally unproven Selcuk Aydin. Broner could do the same thing and move up in weight to face Guerrero, and I think he’d have an excellent chance of beating him. Guerrero moved up in weight but his power didn’t come with him. Guerrero proved to be little more than a slapper in his win over Aydin last month on July 28th.

Broner recently weighed in at 146 lbs when he entered the ring in his 5th round stoppage win over #1 WBO super featherweight contender Vicente Escobedo last month. Broner was effectively as big as Guerrero was in his fight against Aydin. The difference here was that Broner showed a lot more speed and power compared to Guerrero in his fight against Aydin. I’d have to favor Broner if he were to take that fight.

There’s not much of an upside for Broner to waste time fighting Guerrero, however, because Guerrero doesn’t have a huge fan base and it wouldn’t mean much for Broner to move up in weight to beat Guerrero.
