Image: The press can’t understand the Pacquiao vs. Bradley resultBy Mark Havey: Steve Bunce recently brought attention to a poll that has been conducted on respected members of the boxing press and media. There were two polls conducted in fact. The first asked 48 members of the press and only 1 thought Timothy Bradley had won.

The bigger poll which included the public had 265 people involved and only 10 thought Bradley won.

The results are overwhelming, but to be honest I am shocked that even 10 people thought Bradley won. I have seen people on this page saying Pacquiao lost, but they are only sticking up for Mayweather. It’s so clear who won that I don’t really see the point in different polls. News has been coming in thick and fast. Arum is appealing, now the rematch is on hold, Bradley’s own trainer admitted Pacquiao won, Bradley hurt his foot, then it’s all fake as no hospital records exist. No one knows what is going on. and does anyone really care. Nothing changes the fact that the judges were incompetent. It has in fact come to light that judging fights is not even their full time jobs. They are business men who apply to join the panel and are picked on where they live, not their experience. If Bradley did hurt his foot that only explains why he didn’t do what he said he would do. The outrage is due to the incorrect result. It seems that every top judge, expert, boxer and trainer has been asked who won. They all say Pacquiao. Mayweather fans say different, but the experts are the ones who know boxing. Fans are blinded by their loyalty to whoever.

I don’t know if the rematch will happen or if the result will be overturned. It doesn’t matter. Pacquiao has a loss on his record that no one will ever acknowledge. That’s all the matters.
