By Tim Wathen: As a fan of boxing I take no joy in what happen last night with the Tim Bradley vs. Manny Pacquiao fight. I predicted on this site that Bradley would win a close 12 round decision. I also wrote an article about Bob Arum setting up his main cash cow Manny Pacquiao for a loss.

I thought Arum really knew Bradley would earn his victory through. I knew if it got to the judges Bradley would get it. I took a lot of slack for that one… The reason I brought up the 2 articles I wrote on the fight is not to gloat. There were some comments made asking if Manny won would I admit being wrong. The answer is Yes! I was wrong. Manny won that fight last night. Bradley stayed busy but in my opinion Manny landed the harder, cleaner shots and controlled what Bradley was able to do. I don’t know about Bradley’s foot but it was obvious his punches didn’t bother Pacquiao. It’s possible that did limit his power but that’s just speculation and I’m not sure it would of mattered.

I truly believe Arum did this. He can play the role and make upset comments to the media, but this is his way of squeezing every last ounce of money out of Manny before he retires. He knows there are not many places to go for his fighter right now. Arum likes to keep things in house and who else is there in house to fight him? Think about that one. The rest of his potential opponents are not under Top Rank. Maybe now Manny will see him for what he is but I’m not so sure…
