By M. Khan: Again the world is disappointed at the boxing fans with Tim Bradley’s controversial 12 round decision over Manny Pacquiao last night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The boxing fans have cheated boxing again of its fairness and integrity.
How can the boxing fans be so deceptive in destroying this loving sport of boxing. Again you all have showed your real faces.
About the fight last night. My prediction of a Pacquiao stoppage of Bradley in the end of the fourth round was very short of the results, whatever those results are. But came close to the prediction of how the fight will go in my article “Pacman destroys Bradley.”
Yet today’s boxing experts are still trying to say that the Pacquiao is slowly deteriorating as a fighter. It does not take a college degree to know that this is happening and will happen to every fighter BUT what should be talked about is that a today’s Pacquiao is still too much in a different level, that a strong young undefeated Bradley was completely outclassed and had absolutely no chance.
When Bradley was able to hit Pacquiao, it was simply Pacquiao trying to get Bradley to fight by putting his hand up in defense and inviting Bradley to hit. So even the so called offense of Bradley was still controlled by Manny.
The results of the fight was a terrible judgement by the boxing fans to give Bradley the decision.
We as fans that love this sport have again allowed our sport to destroy the the fairness and integrity that is expected.
I am not sure what the fans saw to score the fight the way they way they did.
I still believe that a Challenger must COME TO FIGHT and has to FIGHT to take the title away from the Champion.
Boxing fans you have destroyed boxing! AGAIN.
Everything that is happening in boxing today is caused by the boxing fans, not the Bob Arums, not the Commissioners, not the Money, and definitely not the corruption.
It is caused by us the boxing fans like me that continue to PAY to see the fights, giving those the power to manipulate our sport.
It’s the money that we pay that has the power, and when we pay and allow such unfairness to happen in our sport and do nothing to stop it, it ENCOURAGES and SUPPORTS the destruction of boxing.
So don’t blame the Bob Arums, the Commissioners, nor the boxers BUT blame us that continue to pay.
We can make a change or demand change by showing support for our sport. We have the power to demand change, but we will have to UNITE and do something about it sending a clear message to those that are trying to destroy our sport.
