Image: Khan: Pacquiao is going to KO BradleyBy Chris Williams: Former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan doesn’t see challenger Timothy Bradley giving WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao too many problems in their June 9th fight. Khan believes that Bradley will trying to take the fight to Pacquiao and will end up getting caught with a big shot and then blasted out.

Khan said to Fighthype.com “He’ll [Bradley] will try to rough him up with body shots and looping shots and stuff, but I really think Manny will catch him in between shots and he will spark him.”

It’s hard to take Khan serious about his prediction because he seems to have some hard feelings about Bradley not fighting him when Khan was trying to get a fight against him when Bradley was involved with promoter problems for much of last year. Khan says he won’t bother fighting Bradley if he loses to Pacquiao, because he feels it won’t be worth it to him then.

What Khan seems to be forgetting is that Bradley won’t need a fight against Khan if he beats Pacquiao. Bradley will get a big money rematch with Pacquiao because there’s a rematch clause in the contract and that’s a much bigger fight than Bradley taking on the still little known Khan in the United States. Khan still isn’t recognizable to many casual boxing fans. The hardcore boxing fans know him in the U.S, but the casual boxing fans are still not sure who he is. I’ve personally never met any casual boxing fans who’ve heard of Khan. Bradley doesn’t need him and still won’t need him if he gets past Pacquiao in the rematch. Bradley would then almost surely get a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Who needs Khan when you’re facing those big names?

Bradley will take the fight to Pacquiao and counter punch and pressure him to wear him down. He’ll do what Juan Manuel Marquez failed to do last November by really taking the fight to Pacquiao to tire him out completely.
