Chambers was stopped in the 12th round by Wladimir last year. However, Chambers looked about the same as Haye did in his fight with Wladimir, but showed more skills than Haye.

Chambers said this about Haye in an article at thisislondon.co.uk: “I will give him [Haye] the chance to see just how much of a bum I am. I tried to warn Haye that it is hard to get away from Klitschko’s jab and that it is hard to overcome his strength. Everybody gets in the ring with Klitschko and thinks that they will be too fast and that Klitschko will be too slow. I made the mistake and now Haye has made the same mistake as me and paid the same painful prove. I will fight him if he wants to continue with boxing.”

This would be the perfect fight for Haye to get at least one good win under his belt and then try to make a case for a fight against one of the Klitschko brothers. Chambers isn’t a super heavyweight like the Klitschko, but he’s good enough to give Haye a lot of problems if Haye tries to beat him by pot shotting all night. You don’t beat Chambers by throwing pot shots. He’ll outpoint Haye if he fights like he usually does.

Chambers, 6’1”, 208 lbs, is roughly the same size as Haye and it would be a good starting point for Haye to crawl out of the hole that he’s dug for himself by his horrible fight against Wladimir this past weekend. Wladimir doesn’t think Haye has it in him to beat the bigger heavyweights in the division, but thinks Haye can be successful against smaller guys.

Chambers would be one of the smaller fighters, but if Haye can’t beat him then he really needs to retire or move back down to cruiserweight because there’s just too many large heavyweights that would give Haye a lot of problems like Deontay Wilder, Alexander Dimitrenko, Samuel Peter, and Robert Helenius.
