Price, 27, has been sparring with WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and feels that he’s seen improvement in Haye’s game, as well as improvement in his own.

The 6’8” Price, who was picked to imitate the 6’6” Wladimir due to his height and power, thinks that Haye can beat IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko next month in their important unification bout on July 2nd.

Speaking with the liverpoolecho.co.uk, Price said “It’s definitely going to be his hardest fight but I think he only needs to land one good shot and then he can jump on him and it will be all over.”

Price said he got tagged by a big right hand from Haye while sparring with him and was temporarily hurt by the shot. Price said “”He hit me with a right hand that I think would have knocked a horse out. It buzzed me. I carried on, it was good all round.”

Haye definitely has the power to stop Wladimir if he can land one of his big bombs. The only question is whether Haye can do that if he’s getting tagged with jabs and left hooks. Haye has to go for broke and not fight in the same timid manner that he did against Audley Harrison and Nikolay Valuev if he wants to beat Wladimir. That version of Haye would get stopped every time by Wladimir. Right now Haye hasn’t shown any indications that he’s better than Wladimir. He may be good enough to buzz an inexperienced Price but it’s a whole different ball game with Wladimir.
