Haye v Wladimir: Why Wladimir WINS even if he LOSES

By Gari Jones: Now what is about to be suggested in this article is a possible scenario of what might happen should David Haye be successful in unifying the heavyweight division.

When or if this fight should happen on either June 25th or July 2nd because BOXREC.com doesn’t even have a listing for the fight yet. With Haye not changing his plans to retire sometime at the end of this year, Wladimir even if he loses will come out a winner. Now Wladimir may simply beat Haye and nothing I’m about to mention will come to pass.

But lets think about it, should David Haye W25 (23) L1, D0 fight with Wladimir Klitschko W55 (49) L3, D0 they will have a unification fight for three of the four major heavyweight belts, should Haye be victorious then he becomes WBA, WBO and IBF Heavyweight champion. You could then bet your mortgage that Haye would be lining up Vitali Klitschko W42 (39) L2, D0 for the WBC Title and should he win there, he becomes the UNDISPUTED HEAVYWWEIGHT CHAMPION

Should this actually happen it is highly unlikely that Haye would be planning any defences of those belts, he will retire from boxing and like he did in the cruiserweights he will relinquish the titles and the Division has no recognised champion.

That means the four belts will be vacant and open for the top contenders, now it’s because of this exact situation that Waldimir will end up smiling. He and Vitali have ruled the Heavyweight division for so long it’s most likely they’re going to be given the first available opportunities to claim back either or all the WBA, WBC, WBO or IBF versions.

If Haye stays out of the picture then Wladimir will likely have to face of against the next high-ranking opponent. I cant see him fighting his brother and Haye will only come back to fight if the purse was tempting enough. But I actually reckon he may get his belts given straight back to him, if he was to fight and beat a NO1 CONTENDER during the time that Haye’s was potentially fighting with Vitali, then its stands to reason that by right of beating that NO1 contender and with no champion to face he would automatically be reinstalled as champion.

Now I know that Wladimir would not let any defeat to Haye just go away, he would be calling out Haye at every available opportunity and if Haye were to avoid his challenge, people would begin to speculate that maybe Haye is too scared to face off against Waldimir for a second time, because they know Wladimir would most likely want redemption in a big way.

Vitali would probably gets his WBC belt back by just facing off against someone he’s most likely to pummel as there’s no one else out there that’s is able to trouble him. He and Wladimir would go on fighting and dominating the division making nice money with there fan base in Germany.

Know there’s also a bonus for Wladimir because of Vitali’s age, Vitali may want to fight until he’s 50 but I think Vitali is intelligent enough to know that he cant go on forever, and with Wladimir looking to continue till he’s probably 40+ it stands to reason that Wladimir could become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World. I know this may sound speculative but I just can’t see anybody that would pose a threat to him.

So you can see, even if Wladimir were to lose to Haye he’s not really going to be a former champion for long. Now like I said this is pure speculation of a possible scenario. It could be Wladimir will beat Haye and go on to rule the Heavyweight scene with his brother, and who knows maybe Haye might stick around to fight Wladimir again should he feel the need to.
