Dirrell, 27, before exiting the Super Six tournament after being fouled by Arthur Abraham, was quickly proving himself to be the top fighter in the tournament with his blazing hand speed, amazing defensive talent and power. The only real test that Dirrell had was against the almost equally talented Andre Ward, who was scheduled to fight Dirrell at the time Dirrell had to pull out of the tourney due to headaches he was experiencing after the Abraham fight.

Dirrell said this on his twitter page: “I’m guessing around four months or so. I feel like I’m ready now though.”

There it is. Dirrell is going to be back soon and will be ready to resume dominating the super middleweight division and showing his talent. I’d like to see Dirrell fight for the World Boxing Organization super middleweight title against champion Robert Stieglitz as part of Dirrell’s first fight. Following that, Dirrell has a bit of unfinished business with WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch, who beating Dirrell by a controversial 12 round split decision in England. Dirrell, with the WBO title in his possession, will have all the bargaining power on his side, because Froch will have lost his WBC title in the Super Six tournament against Glen Johnson or Ward. Froch will then have to come to the bargaining table as a challenger rather than a champion. This means that the fight will likely take place in the United States unless Froch can somehow get the fight in England again. It won’t matter. Dirrell will beat Froch easily in the rematch.
