By Sean McDaniel: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (13-0, 9 KO’s) along with his new trainer Emanuel Steward will return to the ring on February 5th at the Wembley Arena against a still to be determined opponent. The 6’9″ Fury is being developed by Steward in hopes of capturing a world title at some point in the future. Still only 22, Fury has a lot of time to still develop as a fighter and with Steward teaching him the tricks of the trade, Fury has a better chance than most.

Fury already starts with a huge foundation based on his size, reach, chin and aggression. He’s got a lot of the tools necessary for him to get to the next level. In his fight last weekend, Fury dominated 37-year-old veteran Zack Page (21-33-2, 7 KO’s), beating him by a lopsided eight round unanimous decision by the scores of 80-72, 80-72 and 80-72. Fury looked exceptional throwing jabs and keeping the shorter Page from landing his shots on the outside.

Fury showed some defects in that fight such as his tendency to throw throw sloppy shots without setting up his punches. After the mind point of the fight, Fury lost his composure and just started swinging for the fences. He needs to conserve his energy and focus throwing with more power when he does punch. Fury seemed to just flick out his jab at times and he could have done a much better job and putting power behind it. However, he looked a lot better than he had earlier in the year when he struggled to beat John McDermott in their rematch.
