Froch vs. Johnson: Carl should have an easy time with an old Glen

By Allen Hmiel: Carl Froch coming off a stunning lopsided easy victory over the deflated and overrated Arthur Abraham is in position to continue his winning ways. Glen Johnson should be tailor made for the British Cobra Froch in their upcoming match-up. The total and complete domination and destruction of the once highly thought of King Arthur positions Froch to gain entry into the finals of the Super Six.

Froch’s masterful performance against an over whelmed Abraham show the boxing world what a well trained talented fighter can do when given expert training and good sound boxing advice. Froch simply destroyed and broke the will of the shorter and less talented King Arthur.

Robert McCracken, Froch’s trainer did a superb job in planning the dismantling of the confused and flawed Armenian by exposing all of Arthur’s weaknesses during the fight. Carl seemed to follow McCrackens game plan perfectly and the fight turned into one of the biggest mismatches of two ranked and highly respected fighters in some time. Froch simply overwhelmed Arthur with speed and elusive footwork coupled with a fast jab and hard counter punching enabling Carl to bewilder and confuse the over matched and now exposed King Arthur. With his once gleaming crown now tarnished Abraham seemed to confused to mount any type of defense against the Froch Onslaught.

Johnson now approaching 41 years of age and a true competitor, simply does not posses the skills and stamina to beat a well trained and condition and confident Carl Froch. Glen has lost too many fights 14, over the years some close decisions some not. Even though, Johnson with all his experience should fade slowly during the later rounds against the finely tuned and confident power punching of Froch. Age will catch up with the older Johnson and the quickness and jab of Carl will confuse and bewilder and eventually wear down the weathered warrior Glen Johnson. Froch gained back his confidence against the outmatched Abraham and this will eventually assist the Cobra in beating Johnson quite easily no matter where this fight is scheduled to occur. Froch will establish himself during and after this dismantling of Glen as the premier Super Middleweight in the world. 2011 should be a great year for the pride of Nottingham and all of England as Froch starts out on the journey to once again prove he is the best fighter at 168lbs in the world.
