Chisora doesn’t see a fight with Haye happening

By Dave Lahr: Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) isn’t wasting his time hoping for a future fight against WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) after Chisora finishes beating IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) on December 11th in Germany.

The reason Chisora doesn’t see it happening is because he signed a rematch clause with Wladimir, and will have to fight both his brother WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and Wladimir once more should Chisora beat Wladmir on December 11th.

By the time those fights have taken place, Haye will be longed since retired because it will take at least a year and a half, possibly two years to get all those fights out of the way so that Chisora can be freed up to fight Haye.

Since Haye is talking about retiring next year by his 31st birthday in 2011, it makes a fight between him and Chisora impossible unless Haye changes his mind and sticks around for a little while longer to fight Chisora.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Chisora said “No, he’ll [Haye] be gone anyway, he said he’s retiring in 2011, and by the time I’m finished with the brothers, it will be two years down the line.”

Honestly, it won’t matter whether Chisora faces Haye or not. He’ll make more than enough money to retire on just on the three fights against the Klitschko brothers. And any fights that Chisora has after those three bouts will be just icing on the cake for him. He can make big pay-per-view money in the UK and do well fighting pretty much anyone, like how Haye is doing it right now facing mediocre opposition and still making big money without the risk.
