Speaking with Sky Sports News, Abraham said “Froch has insulted my promoter, my team and me. I will punish him for that on Saturday. It will be a great fight between two warriors. I cannot wait to get my hands on him and make him pay for all the rubbish he has said in the press.”

I believe Abraham really does want to get a whole of Froch and take him out in brutal fashion. Froch has been talking since the day the fight was first announced and it’s been a huge ordeal just to get Froch in the ring, because Froch made a big production about the venue of the fight and shot down one location after another, and then came up with a back injury that put the fight off further. It’s a wonder that the bout is actually taking place at all given the all the drama that has gone on.

I can see how Abraham would want to take Froch out as fast as possible to teach him a lesson. Froch seems to think he’s going to be able to use the few inches in height that he has over Abraham to crush him. Unfortunately, Froch hasn’t been crushing anyone for a long time and he’s had a rough go of it lately in a loss to Mikkel Kessler and what appeared to be a hometown decision win over Andre Dirrell last year in Froch’s first fight in the Super Six tournament.
