Why does Froch waste his talents?

When he did listen to McCracken like in round 5 he had great success, he was told to go out and work off his jab, then bring in right hands and left hooks. When Froch did this he looked the much better fighter and even had Mikkel Kessler down (even though it was ruled a slip it still was a big confidence booster for Froch) but sure enough in classic Froch style he went back to mindlessly throwing big bombs many of which didn’t land, got caught with a couple, looked bad and this time paid for it with a loss to Kessler.

In the Andre Dirrell fight Froch did this once again. Winning a few rounds with smart boxing but ultimately got out boxed and out foxed by Andre when he haplessly tried to knock out Dirrell, and I believe that the only reason he won that fight is because it was held in Froch’s hometown of Nottingham, England.

The same can be said for the Jermain Taylor fight which he was on his way to loosing but to his credit pulled out a great finish to knock out a somewhat faded Taylor. However in the Pascal fight when Froch decided to box clever he won the round with some ease and you can’t help but think if he tried to out box and out jab Mikkel he probably would still be undefeated.

Let’s hope for Froch’s sake that this will be a lesson to him and he can come back stronger than ever against Arthur Abraham, and I think if he tries to outbox Abraham then he will look good and win a comfortable decision.
