Carl Froch wants Jake Paul & Logan on same night, fighting both

By Jim Calfa: Carl Froch was gloating like mad last Sunday night following Jake Paul’s defeat at the hands of British fighter Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia,

The 45-year-old former unified super middleweight champion Carl Froch now says he’d like to return to the ring to fight both Jake Paul & his brother Logan Paul on the same night.

Froch is still bitter about the grief that Jake was giving him and the way that he wasn’t getting the royalty treatment by the Youtuber. Jake wasn’t going to grovel at Froch’s feet as many of his fans in Great Britain do, and that seemed to shake the aging ex-champion.

Before his loss to Tommy last Sunday, the famous influencer Jake Paul had given a challenge to Froch, saying that he wanted him to prove himself by fighting former UFC champion Anderson Silva on one of his undercards, and if he won, he’d fight him.

Not surprisingly, the prideful Froch refused, reminding Jake that he’d once fought in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in his last fight nine years ago against George Groves in May 2014.

Froch obviously isn’t going to get a fight against either of them at this point, especially after the way Jake (6-1, 4 KOs) performed in his eight round split decision loss to Tommy Fury (9-0, 4 KOs) at the Diriyah Arena, in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Froch issues challenge to Jake & Logan Paul

“Jake Paul and Logan Paul on the same night would be interesting,” Froch said to BonusCodeBets. “I’d fight them both on the same night, and they can tag each other, or maybe get Logan on the undercard as we’ve not seen him for a while as a nice little warm-up for me, a steady few rounds until I decide to knock him el sparko. And then I can fight his brother Jake on top of the bill as the main event and make mincemeat of him; what a night that would be.”

Tommy Fury predicts stoppage of Jake Paul in rematch

“It’s not something that I said I wouldn’t do,” said Tommy Fury to Queensberry Promotions. “I’m here and the victorious winner. I was landing good shots. If I pressed him more, I’m pretty sure I would have gotten him out of there. I’m not new to the big dance.

“Next time, I believe I’ll get the stoppage,” said Tommy when asked about a rematch with Jake. “This time, I believe I could have pressed him more, but I guarantee that in the next time, you’ll get a stoppage.”

Getting a knockout in the rematch would be a tall order for Tommy because he didn’t show much power in the fight against Jake. One can argue that Tommy’s best shots were to the back of the head of Jake when he was hitting him with illegal rabbit punches and getting away with it.
