Image: Guerrero stops Nicklow in 4By Sam Gregory: In the main event from the Grand Casino, Hinckley, Minnesota, undefeated southpaw Fernando Guerrero handed Jessie Nicklow the second loss of his professional career in a scheduled ten round bout in the middleweight division. In the first round both men came out establishing their jab feeling each other out, Nicklow lands a solid right hand, both men fight on the inside countering off each other’s jab; Nicklow lands a solid right, switches to southpaw than back again landing his jab to close out the round.

Round 2 Nicklow lands his combination, switches to southpaw than back again; Nicklow uses the entire ring, Guerrero is patent and takes his time throwing punches, he lands a big right that pushes Nicklow back; Guerrero lands a big solid right to close out the round.

Round 3 Nicklow lands a big right hand, Guerrero counters and lands a big combination. Guerrero lands another big right, Nicklow counters and lands a solid right; Nicklow proves to have a good chin, he has taken some big solid shots to the chin.

Round 4 Guerrero drops Nicklow in a flash knockdown, he gets up and both men go toe to toe in the center of the ring; Nicklow is taking some solid shots and gets caught with a right hook when the referee steps in and stops the fight at 2:09 of the 4th round handing Nicklow his second loss.

This fight went back and forth; both men were game fighters in this action packed middleweight bout.

Fernando Guerrero improved his undefeated record tonight to 17-0 with 14 KO’s; Jessie Nicklow suffered the second loss of his career and fell to 19-2 with 7 KO’s.
