Image: Miranda: I'm going to beat Bellew ugly, then I want Froch or Cleverly to take their titlesBy Scott Gilfoid: Edison Miranda (35-7, 30 KO’s) is going to be looking to knock Tony Bellew (17-1, 11 KO’s) on Saturday night in front of all of Bellew’s British boxing fans at the Alexandra Palace, Muswell Hill, London, United Kingdom. Miranda, 31, is going to put some hard leather on the 29-year-old Bellew, and get him out of there so that Miranda doesn’t have to worry about possibly getting jobbed by the judges.

Miranda told EPSN “What I do to Bellew. It’s going to be ugly. I am not putting that decision in the hands of the judges. You can…keep the judges at home…Carl Froch would be No.1 on my radar…If Froch has other plans then Nathan Cleverly.”

Bellew and Froch turned down Cleverly fight, says Warren

Image: Bellew and Froch turned down Cleverly fight, says WarrenBy William Mackay: According to promoter Frank Warren, he attempted to get both Tony Bellew and Carl Froch for a fight against WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (24-0, 11 KO’s), but both guys turned the fight down. Cleverly instead will be facing #9 WBO Vyacheslav Uzelkov (27-2, 16 KO’s) on October 27th at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.

Warren told thesun.co.uk “A huge purse was put to Froch to move up a weight division – which he turned down – and Bellew rejected the offer of a rematch. We had [Bernard] Hopkins lined up and then he pulled out, while [WBA light heavyweight champion Beibut] Shumenov didn’t want to come over [to the UK].”
