(Photo credit: Esther Lin/Showtime) By Ivan Godfrey: Kell Brook (32-0,22K`Os) has revealed that he believes that a bout between himself and fellow English welterweight Amir Khan(29-3,19 K`Os) has the potential to be as big an event as the may blockbuster between Carl Froch and George Groves. However, the fight taking place at all is of course dependent on a successful outcome to his own challenge for the IBF welterweight strap against the undefeated American champion Shawn Porter (24-0-1, 15 KOs).
Brook said, “I believe so (that it can be like Froch-Groves). A win over Porter gives me a world title and opens all the doors at the elite level. I think everyone would grab onto the Khan fight and it will be huge like Groves-Froch because there is no love lost between us”.
