Ronda Rousey thinks she’d beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a no rules fight

rousey4By Allan Fox: UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey added Floyd Mayweather Jr’s name to the list of fighters she thinks she’d beat if the two of them were to mix it up in a no rules type fight. By saying no rules, Rousey is basically saying it would be a fight where anything goes. That obviously wouldn’t be an MMA fight because they do have rules, a lot of them. In other words, Rousey seems to think she would beat Mayweather in a street fight.

Let’s be clear on this; Mayweather has shown no interest at all in wanting to fight Rousey, and I don’t think she’s really interested either. She’s just talking in terms of hypothetical fights. He doesn’t believe in a man hitting a woman, saying via the washingtonpost.com “there’s no setting in which we should condone a man hitting a woman.”

Mayweather not interested in fighting Ronda Rousey

_DSC1173(Photo credit: Idris Erba/Mayweather Promotions) By Chris Williams: In the last few weeks there has been a large amount of MMA fans of the sport trying to drive up interest in a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) and UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (12-0, 3 KOs) in a fight that would take place by MMA rules. When the question was put to Mayweather about him possibly stepping into the octagon to fight Ronda Rousey, Mayweather shot down the idea. He saw the ideas a joke.

It’s unthinkable to assume that the plump looking Rousey could ever beat a fighter as talented and as gifted as Mayweather, even if he fought her under the rules of the MMA sport. Rousey has been scoring fast submission victories over women with limited experience.

Rousey waited to get revenge against Mayweather

rousey4By Allan Fox:
UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey says she planned her verbal attack on superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. for over a year before she got her chance to slam him this week after she beat him out in a competition to win this year’s ESPY award.

When interviewed after receiving the award, Rousey used the opportunity to make a negative comment about Mayweather saying “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once. I’d like to see him pretend to not know who I am now.”

By John Simmons:

Today we had the privilege of watching the ESPY Awards and the winners were certainly grinners. One winner in fact took the whole experience to another level by taking aim at someone else they were up against for an award.

That award was the ‘Fighter of year’ and the winner was none other than Ronda Rousey the UFC Women’s champion and current Hollywood regular.

Pacquiao: Ronda Rousey is strong enough to beat Mayweather

floyd663By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao thinks that female MMA star Ronda Rousey would defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr if they were to face each other in an MMA type of a fight.

What’s interesting here is that Pacquiao didn’t include himself when talking about Rousey. He just chose to predict a victory for Rousey against Mayweather in an MMA fight, as if Mayweather would ever agree to a fight of that kind.
