By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) says he’s not chasing after Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26 KO’s) to try and get a big money fight. However, Mayweather feels that he is, describing him as a “Begging for the fight,” in an interview with Fighthype. Whatever the reality, a Mayweather fight would surely help Pacquiao’s financial situation right now and I doubt he would turn it down if Mayweather opened his mouth to offer him the fight.
“First, I would like to make it clear that I am not chasing him,” Pacquiao said on DAZR via Philboxing. “I want to face him in the ring for boxing fans in particular and sports fans. Rather than a dog running with it’s tail between his legs in utter show of fear, at least I look for more fights. I don’t run away from them.”
