By Matt Plumridge: Take one large, fast, heavy hitting former world champion heavyweight boxer David Haye, and add in a cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew, formerly a light heavyweight contender; stir in a mind-boggling amount of money, a large dose of posturing, a Hollywood movie and some frizzy hair and you end up with a greatly mismatched non-title fight with plenty of icing for the promoter and some crumbs for us fans.
Haye vs. Bellew
Joshua hopes Bellew beats Haye
By Scott Gilfoid: For some reason, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is pulling for Tony Bellew to defeat David Haye this Saturday night in their big fight at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Unfortunately for Joshua, Bellew (28-2-1, 18 KOs) is the underdog in the fight, and it’s going to take the perfect set of circumstances for him to pull off the upset against Haye.
Bellew’s fans make it ugly for Haye at final press conference
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC cruiserweight belt holder Tony Bellew’s fans totally drowned out David Haye with their shouting at him at Monday’s final press conference before the Haye-Bellew fight this Saturday. It was just bad to watch. Bellew’s fans were quiet and respectful when he was up at the podium speaking about Saturday’s fight on Sky Box Office pay-per-view at the O2 Arena in London, England.

By Scott Gilfoid: British promoter Eddie Hearn has his work cut out for him in keeping former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and his confrontational fighter Tony Bellew apart this week for the press conferences and the weigh-in before they face each other this Saturday night on March 4 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Haye: Bellew will be finished after Saturday
By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) says he’s going to cave in the face of Tony Bellew (28-2-1, 18 KOs) on Saturday night in their fight on Sky Box Office pay-per-view at the O2 Arena in London, England. Haye says that Bellew will be finished as a fighter after he destroys him in front of the boxing fans that see the fight.

Haye wants to smash Bellew while he’s falling down
By Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight contender David Haye won’t be satisfied with knocking out Tony Bellew on March 4 in their fight on Sky Box Office pay-per-view. Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) says he wants to knock Bellew out with an impressive highlight reel knockout in which he nails him with a parting shot while he’s going down. With the Bellew fights, we might see that scenario play out in this fight.
Haye says Bellew is going to be brutally knocked out
By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye says Tony Bellew is going to need to make some major changes to his fighting style by the time they face each other on March 4, otherwise he’s going to be getting brutally knocked out. Haye and Bellew are fighting on Sky Box Office pay-per-view at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Haye thinks that the 33-year-old Bellew hasn’t been eating the right foods in preparation for the fight, because he’s not looking like he’s in the best shape. Bellew looks a little chunky around the jowls, as if the 225lbs that he’s weighing now isn’t firm weight.
Bellew already talking Haye rematch
By Scott Gilfoid: Tony Bellew still hasn’t even fought heavyweight David Haye in their fight scheduled for March 4, and yet he’s already talking about a rematch against him. Just why is the 33-year-old Bellew talking about a rematch at this early stage? Bellew is supposed to move back down to cruiserweight after this fight and defend his World Boxing Council title against the winner of the Marco Huck vs. Mairis Briedis.
This would be a very, very dangerous fight for Bellew, and it would also be his first real test in the cruiserweight division since moving up in weight. Is Bellew trying to duck the winner of the Huck-Briedis by talking about a rematch with Haye?
Bellew a possibility for Joshua fight if he beats Haye says Hearn
By Scott Gilfoid: Tony Bellew may not be even the fifth best fighter in the cruiserweight division right now, but if he somehow pulls off a huge upset over David Haye next month in their heavyweight match on March 4, he could be in line for a quick title shot against IBF champion Anthony Joshua.
Bellew and Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says that it’s going to be difficult to talk the 34-year-old Bellew into dropping back down to the cruiserweight division if he beats Haye next month. Hearn says that Bellew is down to his last five or six fights of his career, and he wants them to be all big ones.
